This policy explains, in plain language, what Friendse collects when you use the site, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. By using Friendse you agree to this policy together with our Terms of Service.

1. Who we are

Friendse ("we", "us", "the platform") operates this website, including its social feed, chat, Status, video, marketplace, and creator-earnings features. This policy explains what information we collect through the site, why, and what choices you have.

2. Information we collect

  • Account & login: your name and email address. Your account is protected by a system-generated access code instead of a password.
  • Profile: bio, avatar, cover photo, and privacy setting (public/private).
  • Content you post: posts, comments, Status updates, videos, marketplace listings, and any images you upload with them.
  • Messages: one-to-one chat messages and any images shared in chat, including marketplace buyer/seller messages.
  • Usage & device data: IP address, browser/user-agent, approximate view/watch-time data used to detect fraudulent or bot-like activity, and online/offline heartbeat status.
  • Creator earnings data: if you earn money on the platform, we record eligible views, the earning rate applied to your own account, and the resulting earnings. This history is kept for audit purposes and is never silently altered. Only you and our review team can see your own rate and earnings figures.
  • Payment & KYC information: before your first withdrawal we require identity-verification (KYC) documents, and we record the payout method you choose (JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank transfer, or crypto/USDT) and the account/wallet details needed to pay you. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Referral data: your referral code/link and which new accounts signed up through it.
  • Cookie-consent choice: whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, logged with your IP and browser so we can demonstrate consent was properly obtained.

3. Cookies

We use two categories of cookies:

  • Essential (always on): keeps you logged in and remembers basic settings like your theme. The platform cannot function without these, so they are not subject to the consent banner.
  • Non-essential (only with your consent): currently, advertising cookies used to serve Google AdSense ads that help fund creator payouts. If you reject these, you will not see personalized ads and the AdSense script will not load on your device.

4. How we use your information

  • To provide the core features you use: feed, chat, Status, video, marketplace, and notifications.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, bot activity, and abuse of the monetization system.
  • To calculate and pay out creator earnings, and to verify your identity before paying you.
  • To send you account-related emails (e.g. a new access code) and, if you opt in, push notifications.
  • To moderate content that is reported or violates our Terms of Service.
  • To serve advertising, only if you have consented to non-essential cookies.

5. Who we share it with

  • Other users: your public profile, posts, and public Status/video content are visible to whoever your privacy settings allow. Chat messages are only visible to participants.
  • Service providers: our hosting provider, our email provider, our real-time chat provider (if configured), our push-notification provider, and Google AdSense (only after consent).
  • Payment partners: JazzCash, Easypaisa, your bank, or the crypto network used to process a withdrawal you request.
  • Legal requirements: if required to comply with a lawful request from a regulator or court.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data retention

  • Status content and its media are permanently deleted approximately 10 hours after posting — this is enforced automatically, not just hidden.
  • Earnings and withdrawal history is retained indefinitely for financial audit purposes, even after an account is closed, as required for fraud investigation and tax/legal compliance.
  • Other account data is retained until you delete your account, after which it is removed or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to keep it longer (e.g. financial records).

7. Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing (such as advertising). Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.

8. Children

Friendse is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has created an account, contact us so we can remove it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical measures — including encrypting your access code at rest and rate-limiting login attempts — to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will update the "Last updated" date above whenever this policy changes materially.
