Boost Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
1. What you can boost
- You may only boost a post you published yourself, on the account that pays for the campaign.
- The post must already be approved and live. A removed, hidden or rejected post cannot be boosted.
- The post must follow the Community Guidelines in full. Boosting does not change what is allowed — it only shows the post to more people.
- Targeting is limited to people aged 13 and over, and to the audience options offered in the boost form.
2. What you cannot boost
- Nudity, sexual services, or anything sexualising a minor.
- Drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen accounts or data, fake documents, gambling or unlicensed financial services.
- Get-rich-quick offers, investment or crypto "guaranteed profit" promises, loan-shark offers, and pyramid or referral schemes.
- Misleading claims, fake discounts, fake reviews, false medical or health cures, and clickbait that does not match the destination.
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, or content targeting a person or group.
- Political campaigning, election material, or paid political messaging.
- Someone else's brand, logo, photos, music or video used without permission.
- Links to malware, phishing pages, or pages that impersonate Friendse or another service.
3. Payment and review
- Every campaign is paid up front in USD, and the payment reference or proof you send must be genuine and belong to that payment.
- A campaign only starts delivering after the Friendse Team verifies your payment. Until then nothing is spent and no one sees the boost.
- Budget is charged against real delivered impressions only. Anything not delivered by the end of the run is recorded for refund.
- A fake, altered, duplicated or already-used payment reference is a serious violation and can end in a permanent boosting ban.
- Chargebacks or reversed payments on a delivered campaign are treated the same way.
4. Re-sending a rejected campaign
- When a campaign is rejected, the rejection reason tells you what to fix. Fix it before sending it again.
- You may send the same campaign for review up to 3 times within 24 hours.
- Past that limit, boosting is paused on your account for 7 day(s) and a boost policy violation is recorded.
- A campaign locked by the team cannot be submitted, resumed or extended until the team unlocks it.
5. What happens on a violation
Boost violations use the same account ladder as the rest of the site:
- 1st violation — a warning. No restriction is applied.
- 2nd violation — posting is restricted for 7 days.
- 3rd violation — your account becomes view-only for 30 days.
- 4th and beyond — the account is suspended pending review.
A boost-only pause is different and lighter: the rest of your account keeps working normally, and only new or re-submitted campaigns are on hold until the pause ends.
6. Appeals and Friendse Team review
- Every strike is recorded separately and can be appealed once from Account > Strikes.
- If an appeal is accepted, the strike is removed and your restriction level is recalculated.
- Friendse Team can also clear a violation and lift a pause directly when a campaign was actioned by mistake.
- Friendse Team decisions on boost payments, delivery and refunds are final once reviewed.
7. Changes to this policy
Friendse can update this policy when the boost product or the law changes. Campaigns already running continue under the rules in force when they were approved; new and re-submitted campaigns follow the version on this page.
